Ravenna 26 Detachable Stand with Legs
For those who want their Ravenna 26 harp standing on 4 legs while at shoulder height we recommend that you purchase the optional detachable stand. It consists of a base and 4 legs that screw in, all built of lacquered maple. Legs are available in 8" (for children and very small adults) and 12" lengths (for adults and older children). The stand attaches to and detaches from the base of your harp quickly and easily with the spin of a knob. The knob has an internal lock nut so will never go missing. The stand will also fit in the pocket of your harp case for easy transport.

The stand provides a more stable harp than the using extendable foot does when playing in a seated position. This is very important for beginner harpers as a "wiggly" harp is physically more tiring if you are not already used to maintaining body posture and harp positioning.

NB: The Ravenna 34D package price already includes a detachable stand with either 5" or 8" legs.

Dusty 26/34 Detachable Legs
Legs are available in 5", 8" and 12" lengths and are interchangeable on Ravenna/Allegro/Crescendo stands. For most adults, 12" legs on the Ravenna/Allegro 26 and 5' legs on the Ravenna/Crescendo 34 are recommended. Taller adults may want 8" legs on the 34 string harps and younger children may want 5" or 8" legs on the Ravenna/Allegro 26.

NB: Leg sizes are interchangeable free of charge at the time of harp purchase.

Ravenna 26 Extra Long Internal Leg
The Ravenna 26 harp includes an internal drop-down leg that raises the harp to a suitable height to play while seated. The optional extral long leg allows you to raise the harp to a suitable height to play while standing; as high as 27" from the floor. It retracts fully inside the harp and is adjustable to sitting height as well.

Dusty Case Back Pack Straps
These padded shoulder straps clip onto all the Deluxe Ravenna cases (CD26 or CD34) enabling you to carry your harp on your back.

Teach Yourself Folk Harp - Book (Sylvia Woods)

Dusty Harp Pickup Installs
These are harp-specific pickups for optimal amplified sound. They come in small (24 - 30 string harps), large (32 - 40 string harps) and pedal harp sizes. Pickups consist of four piezo elements spaced on a resin bar mounted inside the soundbox together with a jack mounted through the back of the soundbox. A single guitar cable allows you to plug your harp straight into any amplifier and most PA systems with no need of a preamp box or complicated connections. You can purchase a harp with pickup installed by Dusty Strings or order the pickup separately and self-install it later with the excellent detailed instructions provided by Dusty. Only an additional drill bit is required.

NB: WCH can install a pickup on a previously purchased harp but requires 48 hours of installation time for glues to dry completely.

Hammered Dulcimer Folding Stands
Come in two sizes ~ sit-down height (holds front edge of instrument 25" above ground) and stand-up height (holds front edge of instrument 33" above the ground). Crafted of hardwood and made to fold down to the size of a 2X4. The sit-down size (4 lbs) fits in all the dulcimer cases. The stand-up size (5 lbs) fits in the C500 and C600 dulcimer cases. All points of contact with the instrument are cushioned with nylon cord or rubber bumpers.

Tri-stander Stand
This fully adjustable, portable stand supports your dulcimer in any kind of situation. Particularly recommended for the larger dulcimers such as the D600 & D650 and if you are using dampers.Three telescoping black aluminum legs thread into black aluminum brackets which can be screwed to the back of any hammered dulcimer. Legs can be adjusted to any height, tilt or terrain. Brackets are left on instrument and will fit in D45 case and larger with the legs in the interior leg slot. Weighs about 3 lbs and comes with screws and easy mounting instructions. You can buy the full Tri-stander system or the legs or the brackets singly.

Felt & Leather Double-sided Hammers
All Dusty Strings HD Hammers are meticulously crafted in book-matched pairs guaranteeing a balanced weight and feel. All Dulcimers come with a pair of wooden single-sided hammers. For variety of texture and sound we recommend that you purchase a 2nd set of double-sided hammers with felt and leather on opposing sides. All hammers are 9" in length however you can choose either small head or large head.

Small head hammers are recommended for the slightly narrower string spacing of the Prelude/Apprentice, Overture, D10, D45 and PD30 and PD40. Large head hammers are recommended for the slightly wider string spacing of the chromatic series dulcimers (D300, D500, D550, D600, D650).

HD, A Comprehensive Beginner's Course DVD (John McCutcheon)
A 90-minute DVD designed for beginning dulcimer players. Covers rudiments as well as some tunes and techniques.

Beginner HD - Book/CD (Linda Love Thompson)
A 42 page spiral-bound book/CD set that starts with a short introduction on learning techniques and follows with 43 enjoyable tunes written in both standard notation (melody only) and tablature. The CD contains all the tunes exactly as they are written in the book.

HD Notebook - Book/CDs (Linda Love Thompson)
A 155 page book and 2-CD set that builds on the basics offered by Beginning HD. 123 tunes written in tablature and standard notation with plenty of tips and instructions.

String Sets
Full String Sets - Contain a replacement string for every string on your instrument for complete dulcimer re-stringing.

Spare String Sets - Contain at least 2 of each size of string on your dulcimer to cover most string breakage situations.
