"Used" harps are owned and sold by West Coast Harps (WCH) with a limited warranty.
"Consigned" harps are owned by a third party (Owner) and are retailed by
West Coast Harps (WCH) are sold on an "as is" basis with
no warranty either expressed or implied. West Coast Harps
endeavours to sell quality used instruments and will state
all known defects at time of sale but accepts no warrant
for any omissions.
For Transparency:
The
Terms & Conditions of any Consignment Harp Transaction.
- The Owner undertakes to consign their harp into the WCH Studio for the lesser of six months or WCH selling the harp.
- The Owner is liable for commission to WCH on any sale during this period
- The Owner sets the Asking Price in consultation with WCH.
- WCH will ensure that the harp is in playable condition & will re-string the harp as required.
- WCH will create a sales webpage(s) with images & description .
- The webpage(s) will be submitted to all the major search engines.
- WCH will promote the consigned harp to interested Canadian Buyers.
- WCH will offer shipping within Canada at the Buyer's expense on a cost recovery basis for both freight and packaging.
- Applicable taxes will be assessed on all sales.
- All sales are final.
- All consigned harps are sold on an "as is" basis.
- The Asking Price (principle) as paid by the Buyer to WCH will be apportioned as follows:
- The principle plus taxes will be paid by the Buyer to WCH.
- WCH will remit the tax portion to government agencies.
- WCH will retain as commission the sum of CAD$150 or 25% of the principle (whichever is greater) to a maximum of CAD$500.
- WCH will retain any materials/strings expenses incurred by WCH in re-stringing the harp in addition to the above commission.
- WCH will pay the remainder of the principle by cheque to the Owner after the Buyer payment has cleared at the WCH bank.
