Description: This is a beautifully-crafted 2 1/2 octave Alto Bowed Psaltery that fits lightly and comfortably on your arm. Hold it as you would a large book, resting on your forearm with the wider end (tuning pegs) against your elbow or abdomen and your hand underneath the pointed tip. It can also be supported on a stand when playing with 2 bows (see Youtube videos demonstrating this). It has a high, clear and true voice with the lowest note being the F above middle C. The cherrywood bow is light-weight and balanced for easy playing. Possibly the easiest bowed instrument you will ever play as whole notes ascend moving down on the right side and sharp notes ascend moving down on the left. You can play either melody or harmony with ease, or play both melody and harmony with two bows. Included in the price is a padded carrying bag, shaped cherrywood bow, tuning wrench and resin block.
