We have many local and visiting customers who call or email and then drop in at our Victoria show room to try our celtic harps and dulcimers for sale. We sell lever harps (folk harps) and hammered dulcimers to brand new beginners as well as experienced professional players, and all levels in between. We also sell quality used harps of known origin.

If this is a new experience for you, you may like to book a consultation lesson with Alison for an introduction to the variety of celtic harps available and the technique & practise required to learn. If you already play, you will delight in trying and comparing the variety of lever harps we offer. You can also take an enrichment lesson from Alison and walk away with some new repertoire and techniques to practise. We enjoy many repeat customers and offer ongoing service with string sales, warranty compliance and general advice.

For celtic harp sales to our Vancouver customers, we can provide additional service by delivering the harp right to your home and tune it there! This is normally scheduled to coincide with our return from folk harp and hammered dulcimer buying trips to Dusty Strings in Seattle.

Dusty Strings FH36H

The FH36H is a full-range 5-octave harp whose full-bodied sound and elegant design appeals to both beginner and professional harpist. This harp will delight those ready to make an investment in quality, musical potential, and sheer enjoyment for years to come.

"H" stands for hybrid-stave. This describes the soundbox, which is rectangular, with a 1/2-stave shoulder cutaway for comfort of the player. The FH36H is a modification of the now-discontinued Dusty Strings FH36B harp that had the rectangular soundbox without the cut-away. The rectangular soundbox tends to produce a more articulate, defined sound throughout the harp’s range, and projects particularly well.

The FH36H is available in a number of woods: sapele, maple, walnut and bubinga, each with their characteristic sound colouring and finely finished appearance. Whichever the wood you select, the voice of this harp is rich, resonant and balanced from its lowest note C, 2 octaves below C, to its top note C, 5 octaves higher.
